Škoda debuts with the new interior concept on its Scala
Škoda has released a new sketch that allows to discover the interior design of Scala, the next compact model that will be the first of the Czech manufacturer to implement the latest generation infotainment technology with independent display positioned in the driver's field of vision.
The new interior concept of Scala follows the direction that Škoda has undertaken with Vision RS presented at the Paris Motor Show and, for the first time, brings this emotional language into a production series model.
The completely redesigned dashboard naturally incorporates exterior design. The independent display is positioned high on the dashboard and it is framed by lines that recall those of the bonnet.
Under the display an ergonomic wrist space makes it easier to use the touchscreen. Soft-foam surfaces have a specific design and textures that emulate the crystal structure and will define Škoda's style in the future.
Thanks to the new generation of Škoda Connect online services, passengers will have the opportunity to open and close the car using their smartphone and update the infotainment system or 'over the air' navigation maps. Scala will be the first Škoda to be always online.
