93% of Italian families own at least one car
A survey commissioned by Midas Italia multi-brand automotive assistance network shows how difficult is for Italian families to renounce owning a car: for 97% of the interviewed motorists have their own vehicle is a necessity, for 92% freedom.
Indeed, 24.4 million Italian households own at least one motor vehicle (93% of the total) even though 60% believe that alternative mobility services will make drivers more environmentally conscious and easier to travel daily (31%).
Among the aspects monitored by the research also the use of the web for reasons related to the car: 7.5 million motorists, or 23%, has moved on the Internet their purchasing habits, also in terms of services.
Booking an appointment for the car check-up is easier on the Midas website where all the workshops belonging to the network in Italy are georeferenced and online.
From home, office or gym, an internet connection and a mobile device is sufficient to reserve an oil change, the arrangement of brakes and clutches or any other work in the nearest Midas centers.
In some cases, even with the Car Valet recovery and vehicle return service. "Although alternative mobility services are on the rise, it is important for Italians to take care of the family car", commented Maurizio Bramezza, Midas Italia Marketing and Development Manager.
