Aventador SVJ takes the Nürburgring lap record
Even before the official presentation (to be held in August at the California Monterey Car Week), the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ (J means Jota to indicate the most performance-oriented cars on the track) has set a new lap record for the series cars on the 20.6 km circuit of Nürburgring stopping the clock on the time of 6 minutes, 44 seconds and 97 cents.
The supercar, in camouflaged variant, was driven by the official Lamborghini pilot, Marco Mapelli.
The Aventador SVJ was designed to offer even more power than the standard version, with light materials that allowed to obtain a better weight/power ratio: just 1.98 kg/hp.
The challenge took place under the direction of the Lamborghini Research and Development team with the collaboration of Pirelli technicians.
