Cadillac also thinks about electric models
Change of course for Cadillac. The brand of the General Motors group is rethinking its industrial strategy, focusing on electrification and overshadowing diesel engines.
The confirmation came from Cadillac's global operations manager Steve Carlisle, who during the presentation of the XT4 compact crossover stated that the brand is re-evaluating the diesel technology: "We have worked hard and almost exclusively on diesel engines, but the markets are changing faster than we expected. In the future, we will therefore focus on electrification ".
Carlisle also confirmed that the development plan for the Cadillac XT4 diesel, initially scheduled for 2020, has now been put on standby.
