Daimler and Baic to invest in a new production factory
The fruitful collaboration between the Daimler Group and the Chinese Baic expands.
The joint venture has in fact announced a further investment of the equivalent of about 1.5 billion euros to consolidate the assembly rhythms in China with the construction of a new plant in Beijing for the production of Mercedes models, including the electrified ones under the EQ acronym.
In addition, Daimler and Baic will jointly produce electrified vehicles and their batteries. Once fully operational, the plant will be able to assemble up to 300 thousand units per year.
