Ford exoskeleton suits to lift heavy objects in the factory
Ford becomes the first car company to introduce exoskeleton suits for workers engaged on production lines at the Spanish plant in Valencia in order to facilitate weight lifting.
Thanks to wearable robotic components, users can lift and handle heavy objects more easily.
The exoskeleton suits have now been integrated for the first time in a moving vehicle assembly system.
They provide support for the area of the back and shoulders of those who wear it, unloading the weight on the hips and thus reducing the occurrence of accidents at work.
