Honda aims to reach 18% market share in Malaysia
The local Honda division anticipated its 2018 sales target in Malaysia. The company aims to sell 109 thousand units (about 10 thousand more than the previous budget) for a market share of 18% on the total of the emerging market that this year will exceed 600 thousand units.
For Honda, penetration in Malaysia is the highest in the world after the share held in Pakistan.
Honda is also active in Malaysia through the production activity (with components from Japan) in a plant that assembles City, Accord, Civic, Jazz, CR-V and BR-V and that during 2018 will also host the renovated Odyssey SUV.
