Kia produced 3 million vehicles at its plant in Zilina
Kia celebrates the milestone of 3 million vehicles produced at its Slovak plant in Zilina. The milestone model is a five-door Ceed in GT Line variant and with a 1.0 T-GDi engine for an Icelandic customer.
Last year, the Korean company assembled 335,600 cars at Zilina and nearly 540 thousand engines with exports to around eighty international markets.
The fourth generation of the Sportage SUV and the Venga minivan are produced at the plant, in addition to Ceed.
The flagships of the plant are precisely Ceed and Sportage, produced respectively in 1.3 million and 1.4 million units.
Furthermore, from 2006 to date, the factory has built over 4 million engines, the most popular of which is a 1.7 liter CRDi.
