Lyft acquires the Blue Vision startup and accelerates towards autonomous driving
Lyft acquired the British startup Blue Vision Labs, accelerating the race to revolutionize car transport through autonomous driving.
The London-based Blue Vision deals with augmented reality and uses artificial vision to process images at street level.
Blue Vision Labs will work closely with Lyft's Level 5 Autonomous Driving Division and will provide all of its technical expertise to solve some of the most difficult technological challenges in the industry.
Thanks also to the Augmented Reality Cloud that the startup has developed, a technology that allows to create experiences of shared augmented reality.
The investment was valued at around 72 million dollars, plus another 30 million if certain milestones will be achieved.
