Mercedes posts highest-ever sales in Korea
For the first time in the history of Korean imports, a foreign carmaker will exceed the threshold of 60,000 units sold in the Asian country in a year.
The record is for Mercedes, which debuted in Korea 15 years ago and that in 2017 (still to be completed) has already increased its volumes by 30% compared to the first ten months of 2016 to 58,060 cars leaving thus presuming that the year will close well over 60,000 units.
The German carmaker had already won the Korean import leadership in 2016 with a total of 56,343 registered units.
To push Mercedes to the primacy is above all the new E-Class and the SUV range. Now Korean is the fifth major market in the world for Mercedes after China, USA, Germany and Great Britain and for the first time before Japan.
