Mercedes will consolidate its position in China by launching 10 new models
Mercedes is planning a decisive consolidation of its production and business activities in China and aims during 2017 to launch a dozen new models in the main market in the world.
Duan Jianjun, executive vice-president of the Mercedes brand with a responsibility for sales and marketing said in an interview with China Daily.
The arrival of new cars will allow Mercedes to replicate, if not improve, the already excellent sales budget reached last year when its Chinese sales were up in double digits (+ 26.6% to 472,844 vehicles).
The carmaker will also focus on marketing operations (up to 2025 it has already renewed its sponsorship of the Arena Stadium in Shanghai) and on the enlargement of the sales network.
Today Mercedes manages approximately 500 dealers in the country, 50% of which has been in business for less than three years. Finally, also the production will grow.
