Mitsubishi will play a key role in the revived Thailand
According to the local division of Mitsubishi, the Thai market will close 2017 with sales growing by 5% to about 900 thousand vehicles, reversing a negative or in any case very slow trend that lasted for four years.
The Japanese company aims to reach a market share of more than 8% in Thailand during the next year thanks to the launch of various new products, including the Xpander MPV.
In the first ten months of 2017, Mitsubishi registrations in the country increased by 22.7% to 54,454 units for a penetration of 7.9%.
Mitsubishi is the fourth most important car manufacturer in Thailand after Toyota, Isuzu and Honda, the second in export after Toyota and is active with a car and one of engines factory at the Laem Chabang industrial complex.
