The new A-Class is also in production in Finland
The Finnish plant of Uusikaupunki, owned by Valmet Automotive, becomes the third to host the production of the new Mercedes A Class after the factories in Rastatt (Germany) and Kecskemét (Hungary).
The production start-up of the A-Class in Finland testifies to the excellent relationship of collaboration between Valmet and the German brand which has been going on for years and which is also divided into the assembly on the same line as the GLC.
The A-Class is the first fruit of the fourth generation of Mercedes compact models that also includes the B-Class, CLA, CLA Shooting Brake and GLA and that by the end of the year will lead to the production debut of a new model at the Nissan Mexican factory in Aguascalientes.
The number of compact cars will go up again when the first Mercedes EV based on the EQ brand newborn technology will debut at the French plant in Hambach.
