Renault to start making electric cars also at its Indian plant
Renault will also produce its electric vehicles at the Chennai Indian factory. It will start by the end of the year with a zero emission variant of Kwid, the compact SUV that is enjoying a good success in the Asian market.
For this occasion, the French company has signed an agreement with Rico Motors, a local company specialized in the assembly of components for electric engines.
In essence, India will become an important global hub for Renault electrification.
