Skoda to produce its electric cars in Mlada Boleslav from 2020
Skoda has officially announced that it will produce its electric cars at Mlada Boleslav central plant starting from 2020, while te production of components for hybrid plug-in models one year before.
The first plug-in unit made by the Czech carmaker will be a version of the Superb that will be built at the Kvasiny factory from 2019.
The future vision of the Skoda electric range was anticipated at the Shanghai Motor Show last April with the Vision E Concept, which also offers the first functions on autonomous driving.
Skoda is starting to beat again this year's global sales record by improving the 2016 result of 1,127,700 units sold.
