SUVs leading Renault Samsung's exports
Absolute dominance of sports utility models in Renault Samsung's export industry. The Korean division of the French carmaker closed the fourth quarter exporting 53,904 units, of which 94% is represented by SUVs with 50,791 units.
As part of the SUVs, the Nissan Rogue is the absolute leader followed by QM6, while the incidence of the SM6 sedan is limited to just over 5%.
Rogue is the result of the collaboration between Renault and Nissan, and it has been produced since September 2014 at the Busan plant at a production pace that last year hit the 130,000 cars.
Renault Samsung export is expected to consolidate further in 2017 thanks to the QM6's move to Europe, a move that has been made right now.
