Tesla to open a plant in Shangai
Tesla offered about 145 million dollars for a plot of land in Shanghai, on which to build its first factory outside the United States.
Thus bringing forward plans to start production in China. A decision by the Shanghai government on the assignment is expected by the end of this month.
Already in July, Tesla reached a preliminary agreement with the Shanghai authorities to build a production plant in China with a capacity of 500,000 electric vehicles a year, more than ever has ever made at its only assembly plant in the United States.
