Volvo opens headquarters for Asia Pacific in Shanghai
Volvo Car opened a new headquarters for Asia Pacific in Shanghai intended to enhance the Swedish brand’s operations in the region.
The research, engineering, design and administrative hub will strengthen its capability to ensure sustainable business growth in Asia Pacific, with China as the core market.
The complex is located in Shanghai’s suburban Jiading district. Covering a ground area of 200,000 square meters it mainly houses automotive research-development and design studios for Asia Pacific.
Volvo assembles the S60 sedan, XC60 crossover and S90 large sedan in China. The locally built XC40 will go on sale in the first half.
