VW's Iranian joint venture to start production by March
The joint venture between Volkswagen and the Iranian company Mammut Group will start production activities by the end of the local calendar, in March.
The news of the agreement between the two groups was announced by Mammut Group CEO, Mehrzad Ferdos.
Like Peugeot and Renault, also the German manufacturer is therefore taking advantage of the end of international sanctions against Iran for its consolidation in the emerging Islamic market (at the time VW was with Kerman Motors).
The joint venture plans to initially assemble the Polo and to import other models in the country.
